Private Lessons
Private lessons at Toronto Equestrian North are 50 minutes in length. Private lessons are suitable for riders of all levels, who wish to work one-on-one with one of our certified instructors. For those riders who have progressed to working over fences, lessons alternate between flatwork and jumping on a weekly basis. During the warmer months, lessons may be substituted for a hack on the trails, at the discretion of the coach. Lessons begin on the hour, and finish at ten to the next hour.
Individual Private Lesson: $170 plus HST
Block of Four Private Lessons: $480 plus HST
Introductory Lessons
Introductory Lessons are suitable for those with no previous equestrian experience, or those with limited formal riding lesson experience. Introductory Lessons follow the private lesson format, allowing for one-on-one time with our certified coaches. Lessons include some time in the barn learning to groom and tack up your mount, and some time under saddle learning the fundamentals of riding. Introductory riding lessons begin on the lunge line, and riders progress to riding independently. Introductory lessons are 50 minutes in length, begin on the hour, and finish at ten to the next hour.
Individual Introductory Lesson: $170 plus HST
Block of Four Introductory Lessons: $480 plus HST
Semi-Private Lessons
Semi-Private lessons at Toronto Equestrian North are 50 minutes in length. Semi-private lessons are suitable for riders who have progressed beyond the introductory level, and are able to groom, tack up, and ride independently at the walk and trot. Semi private lessons include 2-3 riders, and are great for riders who enjoy learning in a group setting. For those riders who have progressed to working over fences, lessons alternate between flatwork and jumping on a weekly basis. During the warmer months, lessons may be substituted for a hack on the trails, at the discretion of the coach. Lessons begin on the hour, and finish at ten to the next hour.
Individual Semi-Private Lesson: $145 plus HST per rider
Block of Four Semi-Private Lessons: $380 plus HST per rider
Group Jump Schools
For advanced riders and part boarders, Toronto Equestrian North offers routine jump schools in a group lesson format over hunter and jumper courses. Our courses are set in collaboration with a provincially certified course designer, and are routinely booked by riders who are preparing for clinics, in house schooling shows, or off property horse shows. Toronto Equestrian is pleased to accept payment by cheque or eTransfer.
Payment Policies
Payment reserves your ride time. Payment is due at the time of booking to confirm your lesson.
At Toronto Equestrian North, we offer private and semi-private lessons only. The cost per lesson when booked in a block of four is:
$120+HST (private)
$95+HST (semi-private)
Private and semi-private lesson can also be purchased individually, at a cost of $170 (private) and $145 (semi-private).
Lesson Policies
Lessons are booked in blocks of four, to be taken in four consecutive weeks. Payment for the next block is due on the last day of the previous block.
All lessons are 50 minutes in length, and start on the hour.
All lessons are non-transferable and non-refundable.
We have a maximum rider weight limit of 85 kgs.
Cancellation Policies
Toronto Equestrian is pleased to offer makeup lessons for lessons cancelled with at least 24-hours notice.
Makeup lessons must be taken within 30 days of the lesson cancellation. Riders must hold current rider status in the program for makeup lessons to be honoured.
Makeup lessons will be scheduled at a time other than the riders regular ride time, and will not act as substitute for a regularly scheduled lesson. Blocks of lessons are not extended to accommodate makeup lessons.
Lessons cancelled with less than 24-hours notice are forfeit. No exceptions. Makeup lessons cancelled are forfeit, regardless of notice.
